Light Utility Vehicle (LUV) Training Course

Day One
This is a half-day session which includes the theory unit standard 24556, covering the safe use of a Light Utility Vehicle, basic maintenance, daily checks and practical driving skills.
Trainees must supply NZQA (NSN) number or ID (copy of driver’s license)
- Demonstrate knowledge of the safe operation of a light utility vehicle (LUV)

Credits: 3 @ level 2
- Minimum of 4 and maximum of 6 attendees per course
Day Two
This is a half day practical course covering the below unit standards. ( or the unit standards that are required by the trainee/s).
Prerequisites
Candidates must have evidence of a minimum of 10 hours riding LUV bikes, in a workplace situation, over at least a three-week period, covering a range of tasks.
This evidence should consist of a riding logbook, a workplace diary and an attestation from the candidate’s employer, or similar. This must be supplied prior to the trainee attending the course.

- Minimum of 4 and maximum of 6 attendees per course.
- This course can be run as a One Day Course if participants provide all evidence of practical competency prior to attending the course (see prerequisites)
