Quad Bike Training Course (ATV)

Day One
This is a half-day session which includes the theory unit standard 24557, covering the safe use of a Quad Bike, basic maintenance, daily checks and
practical driving skills.
Trainees must supply NZQA (NSN) number or ID (copy of driver’s license) & a completed Harris Training Services Ltd Enrolment Form.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the safe operation of a quad bike.

Credits: 3 @ level 2
- Minimum of 4 and maximum of 6 attendees per course
Day Two
This is a half day practical course covering the below unit standards. (Or the unit standards that are required by the trainee/s).
Prerequisites
Candidates must have evidence of a minimum of 20 hours riding quad bikes in a workplace situation, over at least a three-week period, covering a range of tasks to achieve unit standards 24554, 24559, 24561 and 24563.
This evidence should consist of a riding logbook, a workplace diary or an attestation from the candidate’s employer, or similar. This evidence needs to be supplied before the course date or by an agreed time frame. (Written agreement- HTS & individual or company) Unit standards are not awarded until this evidence is received.

Credits: 4 @ level 3 - Ride a quad bike with trailed equipment.
NZQA Unit Standard: 24561
Credits: 4 @ level 3 - Ride a quad bike with mounted equipment or a load.
NZQA Unit Standard: 24563
Credits: 3 @ level 3
- Minimum of 4 and maximum of 6 attendees per course.
- Full Day Course available for those who can supply evidence of practical experience (see prerequisites)
